Just wanted to say thanks to the A.W.R.T. (American Women In Radio & Television) for including me in the 8th Annual Sweetheart Bachelor Auction a couple weeks ago at QUA. The event was a big success, thanks to everyone who showed up bid on me! My buddy Luisa Muaro of Marathon Realty in Austin had the winning bid. Here I am hanging out with my friend Roxanne Wilson after my dorky "runway" experience.

Last chance to stock up on pure nirvana...
Girl Scout cookies. They make life worth living. And this Friday is your last chance to get 'em. KXAN ran this story earlier today, and here's the website JUST in case you don't run into a girl scout or her mom in the next 72 hours. http://www.gsctx.org/

Shot of the year...too bad it didn't count!
The NBA needs more incredible stars like Dwight Howard. This shot is rediculous. This 75 foot "no look" shot happened during pregame warm ups and just happened to be captured on national TV. Pretty cool.
My Fav 5 wierdest Oscar Moments.

Honestly, I think the Academy Awards were kinda boring last night. Is this really the best Hollywood can come up with for their biggest night of the year? I mean, as usual, it was well produced visually, but I'm over seeing Ryan Seacrest on the Red Carpet interviewing the stars. It's so...uncomfortable. Ryan is a bizillionaire, semi-talented, and very connected, but he's so damn predictable...and boring. What's my fav 5 weird Oscar moments from last night you ask?...What? You're not asking? OK. Sorry, but I'm going to tell you anyway.
1) Sophia Loren. Really?
2) Why did the show producers splice in so many OLDER movies during the movie of the year clip roll. Confusing.
3) Mickey Rourke. He's awesome, but he looks like a wax figure.
4) Hugh Jackman shaking everyone's hands in the entire first 10 rows. Is this really necessary. Do we care?
5) As usual the show was a whopping 30 minutes over, clocking in at 3:30. That's even longer than Benjamin Button. God!
Carey
P.S. On a possitive note, Jerry Lewis, who is close to his MID 80's, made a great seamless, passionate speech as he accepted the humanitarian award for charitible contributions. This guy has raised more than 2 BIL for MDA and is still the living benchmark for comedy team duos everywhere. Think Farley & Spade are funny? See Martin & Lewis (Jerry Lewis (still living), Dean Martin (dead, but eternally cool).

Clipping Vitual Coupons more popular than ever...
There are tons of on line coupons these days and one of my favorite sites is http://www.wow-coupons.com/all-printable-retail-coupons.php where you can scans tons on stores you actually use. Now, instead of saving those mailbox cardbox coupons you sift though every night after work, you can hit print and keep these babies in your glovebox.

Here's video from News8 Austin site of that crazy meteorite that fell from the sky last Sunday morning over Austin at http://news8austin.com/shared/video/video_pop.asp?destlist=62241
Pieces of that fireball could be worth more than your 401K if you find one!
